Strong performance of Honda two-wheelers in the festival season, more than 7.34 lakh vehicles sold in October

Automobile Desk: This year's festive season is proving to be great for two-wheeler companies in the Indian automobile market. The country's leading two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has registered record breaking sales in the month of October. Due to huge demand for vehicles during festive shopping, the company has sold a total of more than 7.34 lakh vehicles. As compared to October last year, this time there has been a big jump of about 13 percent in the total sales graph.

If we look at the latest sales figures released by Honda, the company sold a total of 7,34,566 two-wheelers in October last. Whereas exactly one year ago i.e. during October 2025, the same figure was 6,50,596 units. Talking about the domestic market only, the demand for Honda scooters and motorcycles on Indian roads was very high. The company sold 6,64,831 vehicles in the Indian market last month, which is 11 percent more than 5,98,952 vehicles sold in the same period last year.

Along with strengthening its position in the Indian market, Honda has also performed well in the global market. The company has achieved tremendous success on the export front. In the month of October, Honda sent 69,735 two-wheelers from India to other countries. Last year, 51,644 units were exported in the same month. If seen in this way, an annual increase of 35 percent has been recorded in the export volume.

Talking about the current financial year, Honda's performance has remained strong even in the 7 months from April to October. During this period, the company has sold a total of 37,08,903 vehicles within the country, which is 13 percent more than the first 7 months of last year. At the same time, the number of vehicles sent abroad has increased by 28 percent to 4,65,735 units. Overall, the company has sold 41,74,638 two-wheelers in the domestic and export markets so far this financial year, which shows a growth of 15 percent year-on-year.

Market experts believe that during big festivals like Navratri, Dussehra and Dhanteras, people have purchased new vehicles extensively. Honda's popular scooter models and commuter motorcycles have played the most important role in increasing these sales. The company has a large network for supply and service spread to every corner of the country. Honda currently has over 7,000 authorized touchpoints active across India.

The company currently operates its manufacturing plants in four major locations in India – Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan), Narsapura (Karnataka) and Vithalapur (Gujarat). On the basis of these factories the company is meeting its huge demand. Honda claims that through its huge network and reliable products, it has so far connected with more than 7.6 crore customers in the country.
