New Delhi: The political conflict between BJP and Congress has intensified regarding the INDIA alliance rally in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. Calling it a political drama, Union Minister JP Nadda alleged that an attempt is being made to spread chaos and weaken the elected government through the event. He also raised questions on the date of the rally. Nadda called it a plan to spread anarchy in the name of democracy.
Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Nadda enumerated four phases of his politics. According to him, first a ruckus is created by telling lies, then chaos spreads on the streets. In the third phase, there is an attempt to damage the economy and in the fourth, there is an attempt to destabilize the elected government at the behest of foreign powers. Nadda alleged that the motive behind the rally was to hurt the Sikh community, create unrest in Delhi, affect the earnings of traders during festivals and tarnish the image of India.
Questions on 1984 riots and date of November 1
The BJP leader said, “This is India, not a banana republic” where arson or riots can be carried out arbitrarily. He attacked Congress by linking November 1 with the memory of 1984 anti-Sikh riots. According to Nadda, innocent Sikhs were killed that day, thousands of families were uprooted and many women became widows. He accused the Gandhi family of not apologizing to the Sikh community.
Delhi traders fear loss
Nadda claimed that earlier protests had caused a loss of around Rs 3,000 crore to Delhi traders, while the current rally could lead to a loss of more than Rs 10,000 crore. Sales of small shopkeepers may be affected during Dhanteras, Diwali and Chhath. The impact on the markets of Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Khari Baoli and Karol Bagh will be a blow to their livelihood.
Citing letters from CTI, he said the organization had appealed to Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Mamata Banerjee not to organize big political events during festivals.
Questions were also asked to the leaders of INDIA alliance
Nadda asked other parties in the alliance whether they were with the Congress on the issue of sentiments of the Sikh community and the loss of traders. He accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting India abroad and harming democracy and economy in the country. Nadda said that India will run by the Constitution and the mandate of the people, not by anarchy. He claimed that this rally would prove to be the last nail in the political downfall of Congress.
