Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have been strategic partners for a while now, and both have enjoyed a lot of success with this partnership. Both of these companies also share a number of MPVs in their lineups, and now they are getting ready to update them. So, as a result, today we are providing you with a list of 7 new MPVs that will be launched in India by these two automakers.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the most popular MPVs in India, and soon it is going to get a facelift. The updated MPV will most likely retain its familiar overall design but get a revised front grille, updated LED headlamps and redesigned bumpers.
On the inside, the Ertiga facelift could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Apart from this, Maruti could also offer this MPV with an updated instrument cluster and improved connected-car technology.
Mechanically, the MPV is expected to continue with its existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine makes around 102 bhp and 136 Nm of torque. The existing mild-hybrid technology is also expected to continue. At the moment, Maruti Suzuki has not officially confirmed the facelift’s launch timeline.

Next up is the Toyota Rumion facelift, which is expected to launch soon after the updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, as it is its rebadged version. According to reports, the updated Rumion could become slightly longer with the help of an extension of the rear overhang. It will help in improving luggage space, particularly in the CNG variants.
Apart from this, the cabin could also get minor upgrades, including improved second-row seating and additional safety features. Toyota could also introduce six airbags as standard, although this has not been confirmed. The existing 1.5-litre petrol and CNG powertrain options are expected to continue. As for the pricing, the facelifted Rumion could cost between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The third MPV on this list is the Toyota Innova Hycross facelift, which is expected to launch on November 26th. This will be the first major update to the popular MPV since its introduction in India back in November 2022. Talking about the design, the updated Innova Hycross could get a completely redesigned front fascia inspired by the new Toyota Hilux.
It is expected to get a wider grille, revised front bumper and updated LED headlamps. Moving to the side, the overall silhouette will remain mostly unchanged, although new alloy wheels could be introduced. On the inside, one of the biggest upgrades could be a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will replace the existing 10.1-inch unit.
The strong-hybrid variants could also get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other expected features will include updated connected-car technology, wireless smartphone connectivity and a 360-degree camera. As for the powertrain, Toyota is expected to retain the existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrains.

Following the launch of the Innova Hycross, Maruti Suzuki is also expected to launch the Invicto facelift around early or mid-2028. It is also expected to boast a number of design and feature upgrades. The facelifted Invicto could get a redesigned front grille, revised bumpers, new exterior colours and updated alloy wheels.
Reports also suggest that Maruti could introduce larger 19-inch alloy wheels. Moving inside, the Invicto could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera.
Other possible additions will include powered ottoman second-row seats, ventilated seats and an upgraded sound system. Mechanically, the updated Invicto is expected to retain its existing 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine paired with an e-CVT gearbox.

Another important upcoming model is Maruti Suzuki’s first dedicated electric MPV, which has reportedly been internally codenamed YMC. This upcoming vehicle has already been spotted testing and is expected to use the Heartect-e electric vehicle architecture. This is the same platform that also underpins the e Vitara.
In terms of the design, the YMC could feature an upright, SUV-inspired appearance with a closed front grille, sculpted bumpers and aerodynamic alloy wheels. The rear could get connected LED tail lamps and a wide tailgate.
What is interesting is that the electric MPV could measure approximately 4.5 metres in length. Its dedicated EV platform and flat-floor design could help Maruti in offering a spacious cabin with practical seating arrangements.
As for the battery options, the upcoming YMC could borrow the 49 kWh and 61.1 kWh battery packs from the e Vitara. The electric MPV is also expected to be manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat facility. It will compete with models such as the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMAX7.

Toyota is also expected to introduce its own version of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki YMC electric MPV. Both vehicles will share the same platform, battery technology and major mechanical components.
However, Toyota will most likely give its version a different exterior design to distinguish it from the Maruti Suzuki model. The electric MPV could get redesigned front and rear styling along with Toyota-specific interior elements. Coming to the powertrain, the Toyota version could also use the same 49 kWh and 61.1 kWh battery options expected for the Maruti model.

Last on the list, we have the Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift. Recently, Suzuki showcased the updated XL7 at the GIIAS motor show in Indonesia. And a similar update could be introduced with the Indian XL6. Talking about the design, the facelift could get a larger front grille with gloss-black inserts, revised bumpers and new 16-inch alloy wheels.
Meanwhile, the side profile and rear design are expected to remain mostly unchanged. On the inside, the updated XL6 could feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system and revised dashboard trim. The familiar six-seater configuration with second-row captain seats is expected to continue.
As for the powertrain, Maruti is likely to retain the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. The CNG option could also continue. There are also reports that suggest that it could get a new 6-speed manual gearbox, although this has not been confirmed.
