New Delhi. Even before the release of the film Ramayana, the film being made under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari is in the headlines for its grand budget and powerful star cast. The makers have brought together many big stars of Bollywood and South Indian cinema to present the Indian mythological epic Ramayana on the big screen in a grand style. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Mother Sita. Whereas South superstar Yash Ravana and Sunny Deol will be seen playing the role of Hanuman. Ravi Dubey is playing the character of Laxman. Along with the story of the film and the look of the actors, discussions have also intensified regarding their fees.
According to media reports, Ranbir Kapoor is being given the highest fee in this film. It is being told that Ranbir may get around Rs 150 crore for both the parts to play the role of Lord Ram. Accordingly, there is talk of him getting around Rs 75 crore for each part. With such a huge amount, Ranbir is being said to be the most expensive actor of this film. There is already curiosity among the audience about his character because playing the role of Lord Ram in a film being made on a prestigious subject like Ramayana is being considered an important responsibility of his career.
On the other hand, different claims have come forward regarding the fees of Yash who is playing the role of Ravana. Some reports say that he may get around Rs 100 crore for both the parts. However, Yash is not only an actor but is also associated with this project as a co-producer. In such a situation, the entire mathematics of their earnings may be different. Some reports have claimed that Yash is not taking any separate fees for acting and he may get a share in the profits of the film. For this reason, the picture regarding his actual earnings is not clear yet.
Sai Pallavi, who is playing the role of Mother Sita in the film, is said to be getting around Rs 12 crore for both the parts. According to reports, he may be paid around Rs 6 crore for each part. Whereas the fees of Sunny Deol, who will be seen in the role of Hanuman, is said to be around Rs 40 crore. Ravi Dubey, playing the role of Laxman, is expected to get Rs 2 to 4 crores. Apart from this, Rakul Preet Singh's fee is said to be Rs 1 to 2 crore and Arun Govil's fee is said to be around Rs 2.5 crore. There have also been reports of Lara Dutta getting around Rs 3 crore.
Another interesting discussion related to the film is about actor Vivek Oberoi. He is playing the character of Vidyujihva in it. Media reports have claimed that Vivek refused to take his fees and donated the amount. However, this claim has also not been officially confirmed.
The total budget of both the parts of Ramayana is said to be around Rs 4000 crore. The film features spectacular visual effects and an international technical team along with composers AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Such a huge cost and the presence of stars have made it one of the most ambitious films of Indian cinema. However, all the figures revealed regarding the fees of artists are based on media reports.
