Automobile desk: TVS Motor Company, famous for its performance and sporty bikes in the two-wheeler segment, has once again created a stir on the global stage. Just ahead of the prestigious motorcycle show EICMA 2026 to be held in Milan city of Italy, the company has unveiled its all-new Apache RTR 125 LC. This motorcycle has been specially designed targeting those riders who want an aggressive look and powerful thrill even in the low cc segment. Currently, it has been introduced for the European markets, but its excellent features have created a buzz in the Indian automobile market as well.
Powerful liquid-cooled engine and performance
The biggest feature of this new motorcycle is its powertrain. Apache RTR 125 LC is fitted with a modern 125cc liquid-cooled engine, which makes it very special in this segment. This engine has the capability to generate tremendous power of 14.9 PS and torque of 12 Nm. To improve the power delivery of the bike, it has been provided with a 6-speed gearbox, along with the support of assist-and-slipper clutch, which makes gear shifting very smooth. Apart from this, the company has also added different riding modes so that the rider can adapt the performance of the bike as per the road conditions and his needs. However, the company has not yet officially revealed the detailed names of these modes and their specifications.
Aggressive streetfighter look and lighting setup
On the design front, this bike seems to compete with a heavy sports bike. Its look has been kept like an aggressive streetfighter, in which the muscular fuel tank, sharp tank extension and strong trellis frame have been used. It is decorated in an attractive silver paint scheme with fluorescent yellow highlights, which is also clearly visible on its alloy wheels.
Talking about the front profile, it has a modern LED projector headlamp with signature DRL, which makes visibility excellent at night. At the same time, tri-split LED tail lamps and LED turn indicators are available in the rear section. The bike has a small windscreen, handguard, sporty split seat and a compact exhaust system mounted at the bottom. Its wide handlebar provides the best balance for both daily riding in narrow city streets and long trips on the weekend.
Suspension, chassis and braking system
To improve riding comfort and stability, TVS has used premium hardware in it. 41mm KYB USD (upside-down) forks are provided at the front of the bike, while adjustable monoshock suspension is available at the rear. It has TVS's signature 'Synchro Stiff' chassis, which is based on a combination of a trellis frame and cast swingarm.
To ensure safety and braking, it has a 300mm disc brake at the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear, in which the famous ByBre callipers have been used. Additionally, it also includes dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) for better control. This bike runs on 17-inch stylish alloy wheels, which are fitted with wide radial tires of size 100/80-17 at the front and 140/70-R17 at the rear. However, the company has not yet officially announced figures like its total weight, seat height, ground clearance and fuel tank capacity.
Modern features and connectivity
Keeping in mind the needs of today's riders, many advanced features have been added to this motorcycle. It has a 5-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity. On this display, riders get facilities like full-screen map mirroring and turn-by-turn navigation, which makes traveling on unknown roads very easy. Along with this, hazard lights have also been provided in the bike for safety reasons.
TVS has launched this machine in Europe as the new entry point in its performance bike range. It is designed keeping in mind the youth and new riders who want to enjoy exciting and long rides while commuting to office as well as on weekends. There is no official statement from the company yet regarding its arrival in the Indian market or its price, but auto sector experts believe that if it comes to India, the entire equation of 125cc segment can change.
