Suryakumar has not played any professional cricket match since IPL 2026. However, he took part in the Mumbai Premier League (MPL) in June and also played some club cricket matches last month. Now his comeback can happen in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) starting from 14th November. He can play for Mumbai team. Regular white ball captain Shreyas Iyer is busy with the national team, so Suryakumar may also get the responsibility of captaining the team.
