New Delhi. An important information has come to light for the students studying in class 12th in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the board seeking its response on a plea seeking permission for CBSE Class 12 students to use ordinary, non-programmable calculators in board exams.
In this matter, Delhi High Court has also issued a notice to CBSE, Central Government, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Parakh (Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development) and sought their response in this matter.
The next hearing related to this case in Delhi High Court will be on January 2, 2027. The petitioner’s lawyer said that in the Governing Body meeting held in December 2024, CBSE had approved allowing the use of calculators in Class XII Accountancy examinations.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the curriculum committee had approved this agenda in December 2024, but no action has been taken on it since then. Regarding this, on Wednesday the Delhi High Court sent a notice to CBSE, Central Government, NCERT and Parakh, seeking their response on the petition demanding use of calculators in the 12th board accountancy examination.
Apart from this, another important news has come out for the students going to appear in CBSE class 10th and 12th board examinations. The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued an official notification on its official website directing the students of both these classes to carefully check the information entered during the registration process and giving them an opportunity to make corrections.
CBSE has released the List of Candidates (LOC) for the students going to appear in the class 10th and 12th board examinations on its official website, in which students can check their registration details. If students want to make any amendments in their registration details, they can contact the school and get the correction done till November 7. Students should note that only those students will be able to appear in the class 10th and 12th board exams, whose names will be in the LOC issued by CBSE.
