Tezzbuzz Desk – During the 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' march organized in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely attacked Congress and Samajwadi Party. He alleged that the aim of these parties is to put India and the Constitution in the dock. CM Yogi said that the conspiracy to weaken the constitutional institutions on which the country's democracy rests cannot be accepted.

Targeting Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister said that he should understand the meaning of democracy. Yogi Adityanath said that in democracy there is no change, the people make changes. Referring to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he said that the people showed the change of power with their decision. According to him, this change happened not because of the power of Congress or Samajwadi Party, but because of the power of the people.

Questions raised on election performance of SP-Congress

Referring to the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi said that in the 2017 and 2022 elections, Samajwadi Party and Congress together could not win as many seats as BJP had won alone in 2022. He said that BJP had won 255 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister stressed that it is the people who decide who will be sent after winning the elections and who will have to face defeat.

Referring to the electoral defeat of Congress, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in 2023, the party had to face defeat in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. He also mentioned the defeat of Congress and INDIA alliance in Maharashtra. Also said that in 2025, BJP government will be formed in Delhi and in Bihar also government will be formed under the leadership of BJP.

Taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, CM Yogi Adityanath said that seeing his position, sometimes one wonders how many times Congress will launch him. The Chief Minister alleged that instead of taking responsibility for its political failures, the Congress keeps looking for new excuses.
