News Desk. In this festive season, there is relief news for government employees and pensioners. After the Central Government, now many state governments have also announced increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) of their employees and Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners.
Lakhs of families are going to benefit from the decision to increase DA in Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. However, the rate of increase is not the same in all states. At some places DA has been increased by 3 percent and at other places by 2 and 4 percent. Employees of these 6 states got benefits
1. Punjab: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given the gift of 3 percent DA increase to about 8 lakh employees and pensioners. Information has been given that the increased payment will be received along with December salary and pension.
2. Tamil Nadu: The state government has increased the DA of employees, teachers and pensioners by 3 percent. Due to this, dearness allowance has increased from 60 to 63 percent. About 16 lakh people will benefit from this decision.
3. Rajasthan: Rajasthan government has increased the DA-DR of employees and pensioners by 3 percent. Now it has increased to 63 percent. The arrears from July to October will be deposited in the GPF account. Apart from this, the benefit of bonus has also been given to the eligible employees.
4. Himachal Pradesh: Here a 4 percent DA increase has been announced for employees and pensioners. Along with this, approval has also been given to give installment of Rs 10,000 as arrears to Class IV employees.
5. Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced a 2 percent increase in DA of state employees and officers. This decision is said to be effective from January 1, 2026.
6. Chhattisgarh: HereDearness allowance of employees has been increased by 2 percent. After this DA has increased from 58 to 60 percent. About 3.85 lakh employees and 1.5 lakh pensioners will benefit from this decision.
