The graduation ceremony of the first Forestry and Horticulture University of Uttar Pradesh has been postponed for the time being. November 2nd was fixed for the inauguration of this university built in Bhibhaisi in Campiyarganj area of Gorakhpur. The administration also started preparations to organize the event in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. But the event was not held on the scheduled day. Now the Forest Department is waiting to get new time from the Chief Minister. The new date for the launch will be announced after its schedule is finalised.
Preparations were going on at the administrative level for the last few days regarding the proposed Forestry and Horticulture University's training program in Gorakhpur. On November 2, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had a plan to lay the foundation stone of the university. Accordingly, different government offices were given different responsibilities.
The Tehsil administration did the work of leveling the land of the venue. On the other hand, the Public Works Department (PWD) started the work of making a German hangar for the event. Besides, cleaning work was going on in the area adjacent to the venue. City Panchayat workers were working to ensure cleanliness from the main road to the venue.
Meanwhile, news of postponement of the Shilaanyas event came. No clear information has yet emerged regarding the reason why the scheduled program has been postponed. For the time being, the administrative officials are eyeing the new date.
There is a proposal to build Uttar Pradesh's first Forestry and Horticulture University at Bhibhaisi in Campiyarganj area of Gorakhpur. About 123 acres of land has been earmarked for the construction of the university. The proposed land falls between Gorakhpur forest area and Farenda tehsil area of Maharajganj district.
For this reason, the administrative status of the land has become an important issue in the project. At the local level, discussions are going on to include Bhibhaisa in Campiyarganj subdistrict. But no final decision is yet known in this matter.
Once the university is built, a new educational institution will be created in the area for forestry and horticulture related education. Currently the project is in the pre-construction stage. After completing the training, you will get a clear idea about the progress of the next work.
The Chief Secretary of the Forest Department came to the district a few days ago during the preparation for the launch. He visited the land of the proposed university and inquired about the preparations and management there. Besides, give necessary instructions to the forest department officials.
Although the graduation ceremony has been postponed, instructions have been given to continue the preparation work at the office level. The officials are maintaining preparations with the aim of getting new time from the Chief Minister so that there is no problem in organizing the program again.
Meanwhile, the Forest Department and the local administration are taking care of the necessary work as per their responsibilities. But no official announcement has been made yet regarding the new date of the launch.
The next program of graduation of the university now depends on the timing of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Officials hope that they will get time from the Chief Minister soon. After that a new date for laying the foundation stone will be decided.
Gorakhpur DF Shubham Singh said, work is being done as per the instructions received from senior officials. Based on receiving further instructions, the Forest Department is taking the preparation work forward.
This university proposed in Campiyarganj is important for Uttar Pradesh, because it is going to be the first university in the state for forestry and horticulture. Through its establishment, there is a possibility of creating new opportunities for study and research in related subjects.
But when the construction work of the university will start and how the next administrative process will proceed, it is still not clear. The next situation will be known after the government announcement regarding the new date of the landslide.
