Nagaon (Assam). There was a sensation in the area on Thursday morning after the body of a person was recovered from Vishnupur area of Nagaon district. Police said that as soon as information was received that a mutilated body of a person was seen in Vishnupur area, the police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased person has been identified as Bhikhari Rai. Who worked in a salon in Teliapatti area of Nagaon. He was originally from Bihar.
Last night he had gone out to gamble. After this his body was recovered today. Local people have expressed suspicion that he was murdered after a fight while gambling.
Police have detained a person named Shambhu Shah in this case. Police have registered an FIR in this regard and are investigating the matter.
The wife of the deceased person has told the police that Shambhu Shah had called the beggar last night. After that his body was recovered this morning.
The woman told that she has two daughters and a son. The elder daughter is about to get married. All of them were going to Bihar for their daughter’s marriage. Train ticket was also booked.
But, her husband was murdered last night. The woman told that there is no one else to earn in her house. The son is very young. He has demanded the police administration to give death sentence to Shambhu Shah.
