UP News: Before the holy festival of Diwali, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a wonderful gift to the employees of the Revenue Department. The government has issued orders for promotion on a large scale, promoting ground employees related to land and government revenue. Under this decision, a total of 285 employees from across the state have been promoted and made Revenue Inspectors. This government order, which came amid preparations for the festival, has not only brought glow on the faces of these employees, but has also created an atmosphere of celebration in their families. This Diwali has truly brought double the happiness for the workers who have been waiting for their turn for a long time.
Revenue Council Chairman BL Meena has officially confirmed this important decision. He said that this step has been taken after reviewing the eligibility and performance of the employees serving in the department for a long time. The government has handed over the next responsibility to those who had fulfilled all the necessary terms and conditions of promotion. Overall, experienced employees from two different cadres have been included in this list. This includes 206 Lekhpals who keep track of land in rural areas, while 79 Collection Amins who are in charge of collection of government revenue have also been promoted to become Revenue Inspectors.
What is the real work of these posts?
To understand the importance of this promotion, it is important to know what role the accountant and collector Amin play in the government system. The role of accountant is considered like the backbone in rural economy and administration. The correct accounts of every farm, barn and residential land in the village are registered with the accountant only. The primary job of the accountant is to decide how much land is registered in the name of which farmer, which crop has been sown in the fields in which season and what is the correct estimate of the loss at the time of natural disaster. Along with this, changes in government records after purchase and sale of land also proceed on the basis of the accountant's report.
On the other hand, the responsibility of Collection Amin is related to keeping the government treasury strong. When any person, businessman or organization has any old tax, levy or any other kind of outstanding dues to the government, then as per the rules, the responsibility of its recovery falls on the Collection Amin. Collection Amin works to safeguard the government's revenue by ensuring timely payment of government dues. Till now both these categories were working in different areas, but now after getting promotion, all these 285 personnel have reached the post of Revenue Inspector. As soon as they assume the new position, there will be a big change in their rights, respect and daily responsibilities.
There will be a direct impact on the administrative system
In any government department, giving timely promotion to employees is not just about changing their salary or post. It is a powerful means of keeping the entire administrative machinery energetic. The Revenue Council believes that this step will greatly boost the morale of those employees who were faithfully holding the same post for years. When employees get the fruits of their hard work, their dedication towards work increases further.
After becoming Revenue Inspectors, these experienced employees will now supervise the work of many accountants in their respective areas. With this, land disputes in villages will be resolved faster and the general public will not have to make repeated rounds for their complaints. Besides, investigation of revenue collection cases will also be done in a more transparent manner. Overall, this gift of promotion received just before Diwali has brightened the courtyard of these families and will also prove to give a new direction to the departmental work.
