New Delhi. The film's producer Namit Malhotra has clarified that the second part of 'Ramayana' will now be released in Diwali 2028. Earlier it was planned to release it in Diwali 2027. Even at the end of the film, the release date of the second part has been mentioned as Diwali 2028. Malhotra has confirmed that the second part, which was earlier scheduled to arrive in 2027, will now hit theaters in Diwali 2028, giving the team another year to better flesh out the story.

Although the makers have decided to make Nitesh Tiwari's epic story in two parts, the audience response to the first film may affect the plan. Malhotra also told that the initial idea was that when there is so much curiosity in the world, we should take a little more time so that when we present the grand finale, we have the experience of Part One.

He further said that I really think we need that extra year to do justice to a film of this size. When you see Part 2, it will be a completely different story. We want to present the finale in the best possible way that it deserves.

Malhotra said that the audience's reaction to the first part will play an important role in deciding whether there will be more to see or not. He also revealed that the team has already made two versions of the first film, with different running times and modes for Indian and international audiences. One of these was produced specifically for an English-speaking audience, with changes to the way the story was presented. He said that the team would like to avoid making different versions of the next part, and director Nitish Tiwari would also prefer to stick to a single version. However, it will depend on what kind of feedback the film gets in the market.
