One such case has come to light from the set of the reality show ‘India’s Top 1%’. Here stunt artist and body double Geeta Tandon has expressed her displeasure over the bad behavior meted to her.
He alleges that he and his son were called for the shooting and were made to wait for about 9 hours. During this period neither they were given any proper information nor did they get basic facilities like tea and water. After the matter came to light, the show’s hosts Anil Kapoor and Farah Khan have apologized.
What is the whole matter?
According to Geeta Tandon, the production team of the show had approached her and her son several times to come as guests. He was not to be paid any fee for this, but he thought that this could give him some recognition. For this he left his work for a day and called his son back from Goa. Geeta told that she had reached the set at around 12:30 pm. He was told that the shooting would be done in a few hours, but the wait kept increasing. According to him, he was made to sit in a tent, where there was no one even to ask for tea or coffee.
They were not even informed about when the shooting would take place. Geeta alleges that when she questioned the delay, the production manager allegedly said that if she wanted to go, she could go, but not without signing. Finally at around 9:15 pm she left from there with her son.
Why did Anil Kapoor and Farah Khan apologize?
Responding to Geeta’s post, Anil Kapoor said that he was saddened to know that Geeta and her son had to experience such a thing. He said that he always wants everyone associated with the show to get respect and belonging. He also talked about taking Geeta’s words seriously. At the same time, Farah Khan clarified that she did not know that Geeta was present on the set. She was busy shooting for the evening episode at that time. Farah said that if she had known about this, she would have asked Geeta to sit in her van. He also said that he and Anil respect Geeta’s work and hard work very much.

After Geeta’s post, many artists came out in her support. Praising her, actress Tilottama Shome said that Geeta has suffered serious physical injuries many times while performing stunts. Bhagyashree also said that everyone working in front of and behind the camera has equal contribution in making a film. No one should be treated disrespectfully. At the same time, Shriya Pilgaonkar also expressed displeasure over this incident.
