Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi has finally got a big update after months of uncertainty.

According to a Variety India report, the CBFC has cleared the film’s trailer, and it is expected to be out on Friday, November 6.

The trailer has a U/A 16+ certificate and runs 4 minutes and 43 seconds, as per the CBFC website. That makes it one of the longest in Bollywood.

The film’s release date is still not confirmed. The makers are reportedly waiting for the censor board’s approval before they lock one.

Earlier, the film was expected on November 13, but a source now says that’s unlikely. “With the delay in receiving the censor certificate, it is unlikely that Maatrubhumi can arrive next week.

Hence, the makers are now planning to bring it on November 20. Another date that the team is considering is December 11,” the source said. “The announcement of the new release date is expected in a few days.”

Maatrubhumi was first announced as Battle of Galwan and is based on the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers. It was expected in April this year, but the controversial subject delayed it.

The film reportedly ran into hurdles over its content and mentions of China, given the improving ties between the two countries. Reports recently said it had received government clearance.

Salman recently surprised fans by launching a new track, Teri Sexy Beauty, with Maatrubhumi co-star Chitrangada Singh.

It’s his return to singing after 11 years. His last song was Main Hoon Hero Tera from Hero in 2015.

He is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar and will next be seen with Nayanthara in SVC63directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
