Technology Desk: YouTube may soon launch a new social networking platform named 'Tamba'. According to reports, hints of this new app have been found in the latest Android app version of YouTube. In Tamba, users can get to see social media features like profiles, followers, direct messaging and group chat. However, Google has not yet made any official announcement regarding this project.

According to the report by Android Authority, several references related to Tamba have been revealed in the APK teardown of version 21.44.534 of YouTube for Android. These include a logo asset named 'yt_sandbox_topbar_logo_white'. The logo features a sketch-like design with a play button along with the name Tamba.
Apart from this, another icon named 'yt_fill_experimental_youtube_sandbox' is also found in the app's code. It is believed that this could be a possible app icon of Tamba.

The report also claims to have found several sketch-like icons inside the app's code. These include home, search, create, camera, inbox, chat, stickers, microphone and user symbols with plus sign.
Apart from this, references to icons like crown, lock, locked bookmark and game controller have also been found. From these indications, it is being speculated that Tamba's navigation and feature layout may be similar to social media platforms like Instagram.
Tamba can be launched on Android and iOS
