Mamta Kafle Naresh Bhatt Confession: You must have seen the story of the film ‘Drishyam’, but a similar horrifying case has come to light from America which has shocked everyone. In this case of the mysterious disappearance of 28-year-old Mamta Kafle Bhatt, her husband Naresh Bhatt has made a confession in the court which will send shivers down the spine.
Naresh admitted to dismembering his wife’s body with a saw in their home’s bathroom—but in a bizarre twist, he claims he did not commit murder. Even after two years of the incident, the police have still not found Mamta’s body, due to which this entire matter has become an unsolved puzzle. So let us know in detail through this article how without any body, this entire investigation is now based only on forensic evidence and DNA report.
Strange claim of the accused
According to media reports, this matter is of July 30, 2024. More than two years have passed since the incident, but till date the police have not recovered Mamta’s body. Naresh Bhatt says in the court that he did not kill his 28-year-old wife (Mamta Kafle). According to him, on the morning of July 30, 2024, he found his wife unconscious near the bed, after which he tried to save her by giving CPR, but by then she had died.
During the ongoing murder trial in an American court, accused Naresh Bhatt has confessed to cutting the body of his wife Mamta Kafle Bhatt with a saw and throwing her remains in the garbage. However, he clearly denied the murder charges and claimed that in July 2024, he had found his wife dead at home, after which he panicked and decided to hide the body instead of informing the police.
Government prosecutors have presented a different story to the court, alleging that it was Naresh who brutally murdered his 28-year-old wife and dismembered her body to destroy evidence. Investigators found a large amount of blood stains and a power saw in his Virginia home, which also had pieces of hair stuck to it, pointing to this heinous crime.
In this case, deceased Mamta’s brother also testified in the court that his sister had sent him a picture of her facial injuries some time before her disappearance and had written in the message that she was not safe. Mamata’s body remains have not been recovered yet, and accused Naresh Bhatt has pleaded innocent to all charges related to murder, hiding the body and insulting her.

Excuse for not calling emergency
When Naresh was asked in the court why he did not call emergency services after seeing his wife (Mamta Kafle) unconscious, he made a strange excuse. Naresh said that he was very scared and because of his panic, he did not understand what he had done.
He admitted that in his panic, he cut the body into pieces with a saw in the bathroom to dispose of it, so that the body could be made smaller. After this, he filled the body parts in garbage bags and threw them at different places.
Accused surrounded by forensic evidence
Even though Naresh has made the body disappear, he is completely surrounded by the web of forensic evidence. Police found blood stains on the bathroom tiles, shower area and door of the house, which were tried to be removed with bleach.
The lawyer (Prosecution) is fighting the murder case in the court on the basis of this forensic evidence and DNA report. On the other hand, Mamta Kafle was last seen on a video call on 29 July 2024 and since then till date the police has not found any part of her body. Taking advantage of this, Naresh’s lawyer argues that there is no direct concrete evidence of murder.
Relations with Delhi and Nepal
Accused Naresh Bhatt has connections with both India and Nepal. During his testimony in the court, Naresh mentioned his past and said that he was born in New Delhi. After staying in Delhi for about two to two and a half years, his family returned back to Nepal.
Naresh told the court that his childhood was spent in a house made of mud and stones in a very remote and mountainous area of Nepal, where even modern facilities were not available. Later he went to America, where he also sponsored his wife Mamta and brought her from Nepal to America.
