New Delhi. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that the Minister of Modi Government has announced that the benefits of the schemes will now be decided not on Aadhaar but on Voter ID. Rahul Gandhi said that this is a very deep conspiracy, understand it leisurely. Crores of names are being removed from the voter list in the name of SIR, if not stopped, more will be removed.

He said whose names mostly? Who are angry against BJP. The voter list should be in the hands of an impartial Election Commission, but now it is in the hands of Gyanesh Kumar, an employee of the Modi government, whose vote theft in collusion with the BJP has been caught with evidence by us. Preparations are on to make such a list in which BJP will always have the majority and now that list will decide whether you will get the money from the scheme or not.
The vote is gone, the right is gone, and within no time you will become an invisible citizen of democracy.
Rahul Gandhi said that tomorrow whoever decided to remove BJP, everyone's name would be selectively deleted. Name struck out – vote gone. The vote was taken – the right was taken. And in no time you will become an invisible citizen of a hijacked democracy. Where the public will not choose the government, the government will choose its people.
Rahul Gandhi said that today the schemes of Panchayati Raj. Ration tomorrow? Pension? MANREGA? Accommodation? scholarship? Reservation? This is not the politics of winning elections, this is a permanent arrangement to steal elections and remain in power. He said that voting is your right, not a condition. A poor person's pension cannot be a slave to his voter card. This is not just vote theft – this is rights theft. We will not let this happen.

Let us tell you that recently Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh had said that in the coming time, payments will be made to the beneficiaries using their biometrics and Voter ID (EPIC) numbers instead of their Aadhaar numbers. These things were said during the national workshop organized on Jan Yojana Abhiyan 2026-27.
Lalan Singh said that I want to say one more thing that now the basis for making payments to Aadhaar beneficiaries will not be Aadhaar Card. Now Aadhaar Card making institutions are available in every street. Whatever you ask for, your Aadhaar card will be made and ready in just 5 minutes. Let us tell you that there is no scheme of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in which money is sent directly to the bank account of any beneficiary, but there are some schemes of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy in which Aadhaar is mandatory for payment.
Aadhaar is necessary in these schemes
Under the National Livestock Mission Entrepreneurship Development Program run by the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, any eligible beneficiary who wants to avail the benefit of this scheme will have to provide proof of having an Aadhaar number or get Aadhaar authentication done. Apart from this, bank accounts linked to Aadhaar are also used to make payments under Rural Employment Guarantee Programme, PM-Kisan, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and old age, widow and disability pension.
