After six weeks of intense competition, drama, and strategic manoeuvring, the second season of the MX Original reality show Rise & Fall concluded with Shehzad Poonawalla emerging as the ultimate winner.
Marking his reality television debut, Shehzad lifted the coveted golden trophy and bagged the Rs 35 lakh cash prize, defeating Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who finished as the first runner-up.
Hosted by former cricketer Virender Sehwag, the grand finale began with high-octane performances by the six finalists. The elimination process commenced when contestants voted out Niharika Tiwari.
Subsequently, voting shortfalls led to the exit of Karan Patel and Swara Bhasker, narrowing the field to the top three. Gautam Gulati finished as the second runner-up, clearing the path for the showdown between Priyanka and Shehzad. Comedian Harsh Gujral also made a special appearance during the finale to lighten the atmosphere.
Upon being crowned the ultimate Ruler of the season, Shehzad announced a heartwarming humanitarian gesture. He pledged to donate his entire Rs 35 lakh prize money toward relief and rehabilitation efforts for communities devastated by floods in Assam and Bihar.
