It is the festival of Diwali and how can it happen that dishes are not prepared at home. During festivals, due to the movement of guests and increased work in the kitchen, the consumption of LPG gas also increases compared to normal days. In such a situation, if the cylinder in the house gets empty at the last moment then it is bound to be a problem. However, Indane customers have two additional options to deal with such a situation.
Indane's Chhotu and Munna cylinders will be useful
Indian Oil provides 5 kg and smaller size LPG cylinders to its customers. These include Chhotu and Munna cylinders. Both of these come under the Free Trade LPG (FTL) category.
Munna Cylinder: It is useful for those who need small amounts of gas. Students, working women, migrant laborers and small shopkeepers can use it. It can be easily kept even in less space.
Short Cylinder: This is a good option for small families and customers who need additional gas in addition to their regular domestic cylinder. Students and people living in other cities can also take advantage of this.
Cylinder will be available even without local address proof
A major feature of these small cylinders is that it is not necessary to provide proof of local address to purchase them. Apart from Indane distributors, customers can also get refills from select Indian Oil retail outlets, grocery stores and supermarkets. Indian Oil had also announced the launch of express home delivery facility for 5 kg small cylinders on July 25, 2026. Under this, a target has been set to provide delivery within four hours of booking.
Domestic and commercial cylinder prices
Talking about the prices, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is said to be Rs 942. At the same time, after the increase of Rs 10 in the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder, it has become Rs 2,820. Petroleum companies review gas prices on the first of every month. Along with the international market and the rupee-dollar exchange rate, local taxes also affect the prices.
