The 59-year-old actor, who his known as the Khiladi of Indian cinema, offered a glimpse into his celebrations on the auspicious occasion.
On Sunday, November 8, the Sooryavanshi star shared a video on Instagram in which he was seen performing aarti.
Behind the pooja décor, photographs of his late parents could also be seen alongside the statues of Hindu deities.
For the occasion, the Hera Pheri actor sported a yellow kurta adorned with white floral embroidery.
Fans were quick to spot Akshay’s son Aarav enjoying the Diwali festivities in the clip.
The video was accompanied by a heartwarming note that read, “Diwali is a festival of sharing happiness, spending time with loved ones and celebrating the small happiness of life. May this lovely festival bring happiness, good health, and prosperity to every home. Hearty greetings of Diwali to all of you and your family from me and my family.”
