Anil Kapoor, Farah Khan apologise to Geeta Tandon after her set experience goes viral

Stunt director and body double Geeta Tandon has accused the production team of Anil Kapoor’s reality show India Into Top 1% of making her and her son wait nearly nine hours on set without any clear word on when they would be needed.

In an Instagram post, Geeta said she had agreed to appear on the show without a fee, hoping for some visibility.

She cleared her work for the day and asked her son to fly back from Goa for the shoot. They reached the set at 12:30 PM on November 4 and were told her segment would be shot in a few hours.

“A few hours turned into an entire day. My son and I were made to sit in a tent, with barely anyone available to even ask for tea or coffee. No proper communication. No updates. No clarity about when we would be called,” she wrote.

She said every time she asked, the answer was “We’ll get back to you.”

“What hurt me wasn’t just the waiting. It was the complete disregard for our time and the disrespectful way my son and I were treated by the production team,” she added.

She claimed production manager Jaydeep told her, “If they want to leave, let them leave. But they can’t leave without signing.” They finally left at 9:15 PM.

Anil Kapoor replied in the comments with an apology. “As the host, I always wanted everyone who was part of the show to feel welcome and respected. You and your son came as our guests. I’m sorry that your experience left you’ll feeling otherwise,” he wrote.

Farah Khan also apologised, saying she was shooting the second episode and had no idea they were waiting. Tillotama Shome, Bhagyashree, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Ayesha Shroff backed Geeta too.
