Rayagada: The traffic movement has come to halt on the Koraput–Rayagada National Highway-326 after an iron-loaded trailer met with an accident at Guma Ghat under Rayagada district on Saturday night.
The incident took place at around 12.30 am. The iron-laden trailer met with an accident and has overturned, following which the vehicular movement has been disrupted, The route has witnessed massive traffic jam with buses, trucks and vehicles stranded on both sides of the highway.
Several passengers stranded overnight in the forest area due to traffic jam, which has caused major inconvenience to the commuters.
Till now, no authorities have reached the spot and cleared the route. The commuters have expressed their frustration over the delay. They have asked to take immediate step to remove the trailer and restoration of the traffic on the highway.
Meanwhile, no response has been received from the authorities.
