Gold and silver prices fall in India, MCX futures and city wise latest rates
Gold and silver prices in India recorded a fall on Thursday, April 9 amid global economic cues and changes in domestic demand. The prices of both the precious metals have seen weakness since the opening of trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), leading to increased activity in the bullion market.
The domestic futures market saw a decline in gold and silver prices on Thursday, April 9. Both prices fell early in the trading session, increasing caution among investors. Gold futures with expiry on June 5, 2026 were trading around Rs 420 lower on MCX. Weakness in global gold prices and sluggish domestic demand are cited as the main reasons for this decline.
