A big increase in the sales of Renault and Nissan in the month of June due to the launch of new cars!

In the Indian automobile market, Renault and Nissan, both renowned brands, have reported a huge increase in their wholesale sales in June 2026. Due to the newly introduced cars in the market, the sales graph of both the companies has increased. Renault sold 4,063 vehicles in the month of June, registering an increase of 55 percent compared to last year. On the other hand, Nissan achieved a whopping year-on-year growth of 129 percent, selling 3,006 vehicles.

Renault’s 10th consecutive month of strong performance

The first half of 2026 has been very successful for Renault. During this period, the company has sold a total of 25,844 cars, which is an increase of 61 percent compared to last year. This is the 10th consecutive month for Renault that it has posted double-digit growth. The main reason for this success of the company is the new avatar ‘Duster’ and the updated models ‘Triber’ and ‘Kygar’. Interestingly, exports of the new India-made Duster have also begun, with the first batch of 750 units being sent to South Africa recently. This has further increased the importance of the company’s Chennai plant.

Nissan’s total sales in June 2026 reached 8,346 units, comprising 3,006 domestic and 5,340 exported cars. In the domestic market, the company has recorded growth for the fourth consecutive month, and the cars ‘Magnite’ and ‘Gravity’ are gaining popularity among customers.

Now, Nissan is all set for the global unveiling of its new ‘Tecton’ midsize SUV on July 9, 2026. The car will sit in the segment above the Magnite and Gravity and its looks are inspired by the global ‘Patrol’ car. Once launched in the market, the Tecton will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Victoris. Both the brands are planning to launch 7-seater SUVs and affordable ‘Made-in-India’ electric vehicles in the future.
