But if there is a will, there is a way. That’s why I want to wait. A family in that country has told how they managed to escape the country after a decade of planning. The operation was for a couple of hours.

On May 6, 2023, the family of 9 members crossed the country’s waters in a small fishing boat. The work was incredibly difficult. Even the slightest mistake would have been caught. And then only the knowledgeable people know how severe the punishment was waiting for them.

It is known that the person who planned this, however, could not physically leave North Korea. Because he had already died. However, the two brothers, Kim Il-hyuk and Kim Yi-hyuk, kept their father’s remains on the boat. Actually the whole plan was perfect. Because that blue design was created over a decade. Kim Yi-Hyuk frequented the coast. Learned to fish. And then he bought his own boat. The purpose is to make the guards at the water border mistake him for anything other than a fisherman. Later, the two brothers went to the sea and caught fish. Seen the pattern of patrolling, the activities of the army in the water area etc. Only then did they make a final plan to escape.

And the day and night of the escape is also chosen by calculation. There was such a storm in Serra, the radar was not working. Meanwhile, the patrol also became irregular. There was only the night watchman. He was bribed. Among the group was Kim Yi-hyeok’s wife, who is five months pregnant. He crossed the mining area on foot alone. That was part of the plan. Everyone had gone around and memorized the route of the area beforehand. Meanwhile the youngest members of the group, aged four and six respectively, were carried away in sandbags. Then they all boarded the boat together. Kim Yi-Hyuk said his chest was pounding the whole way. Now she works as a cook in South Korea. Tell everyone the story of their escape.
