A film will be made on Pahalgam attack! Bhushan Kumar-Vivek Agnihotri are bringing ‘Operation Sindoor’
Mumbai, 26 March. Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri announced their new film ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Thursday. According to Kumar and Agnihotri, the film is inspired by the ‘codename’ of India’s targeted military strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and occupied Kashmir (PoK) following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. This film is based on Lieutenant General K.J.S. ‘Tiny’ will be based on Dhillon’s (retd) book ‘Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan’.
The film will be directed by Agnihotri and produced by Kumar’s T-Series and the director’s ‘I Am Buddha Productions’. In the year 2025, 26 people were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, mostly tourists. “Some stories are not chosen, they choose you. ‘Operation Sindoor’ is one such story. One that needs to be told with honesty, courage and responsibility. When a nation goes through events of such a large scale, it becomes important to document them truthfully,” Kumar said in a statement.
Producer-director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri also said, “This is not just a film. It is a revelation. Through ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has not only avenged the Pahalgam terror attack and punished Pakistan, but has also demonstrated its power in modern warfare.” Director-producer Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, known for films like ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘The Tashkent Files’ and ‘The Bengal Files’, said he has always believed in telling stories that are uncomfortable but need to be told. He said, “My endeavor is to bring this story of courage, professionalism and strategic clarity to the audience with authenticity and also present it as an exciting cinematic experience.” Other details about the film will be shared soon.
