A Glimpse of Housewives’ Struggle and Women’s Empowerment; The film ‘Ladki Baheen’ will soon hit the screens

Some movies create curiosity in the minds of the fans right from their announcement. The film is coming to the audience based on the social implications of the much-talked-about ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ launched by the Maharashtra state government. The tagline of the film is “Rs 1500 installment is heavier than a lakh in our world”. This social and humorous film will hit the theaters in Maharashtra from April 17.

Shubham Film Productions ‘Ladki Baheen’ is directed by Shital Shinde and produced under the banner of Shanidev Films. The story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Ganesh Shinde, while Babasaheb Patil is the executive producer. Writer Pratap Gangawane is directing the film, Shekhar Mate, Pankaj Chavan, social activists Tripti Desai and Lahu Salunkhe have made special contributions.

Smita Tambe will be seen in the lead role, with Surekha Kudchi, Usha Nadkarni, Gautami Patil, Rukmini Sutar (Saru Aji), Sarika Jadhav and others playing important roles. The film depicts the impact of a government scheme on the lives of ordinary housewives and the journey of women to rise through the organization.
