Robbery of Rs 50 lakh in broad daylight in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, jewelery shop targeted at gunpoint
A major incident of robbery of jewelers took place in broad daylight in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. The incident took place in Anar Wali street of Kinari Bazaar, where miscreants looted goods from jewelers at gunpoint. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and started investigation. According to preliminary information, the amount of loot is said to be around Rs 50 lakh. This incident created a stir in Chandni Chowk and security has been increased in the area.
According to the information, some gun-wielding miscreants suddenly entered the shop and looted the employees by holding them at gunpoint. During this time, the miscreants took away jewelery worth about Rs 50 lakh with them. There was a stir in the area after the incident, and the police team reached the spot and started investigation. Officials said that intensive investigation and clue gathering is going on to arrest the accused.

After the miscreants left, frightened employees came out of the shop and immediately informed the police about the incident. The employees told that at that time they were showing jewelery to some customers, when some miscreants, posing as customers, entered the shop and looted it at gunpoint. During this time, the miscreants fled after looting jewelery worth about Rs 50 lakh.

Before the employees could understand, the miscreants held them at gunpoint and asked them to take out whatever jewelery they had. For the safety of their lives, the employees took out the jewelery and gave it to the miscreants. After this the miscreants ran away from the shop.
According to the police and jewelery shop employees, the estimated value of the loot is around Rs 50 lakh. After the incident, Chandni Chowk police station reached the spot and started investigation and scanning the CCTV footage.
