The incident took place in the Govindpur-Talbarakot forest area of ​​Talbarakot area, where a man named Vidyasadhar Behera encountered a lone wild elephant. Even after the attack, Vidyasadhar Behera does not lose courage and is seen trying to get up himself. Despite serious injuries, he is still able to walk a few steps, which is a surprise for people. Locals immediately reach the spot and take him to the hospital, where doctors confirm serious injuries on his legs, hands and head.

At present his condition is said to be critical but stable. The Forest Department has also warned the people of the area to be alert and informed that a herd of about 30 elephants is active in the surrounding forests. People have been advised to stay away from forest areas especially in the morning and evening.
