News India Live, Digital Desk: A major accident took place in Noida Sector-4 adjacent to Delhi in the early hours of Thursday. A massive fire suddenly broke out in an electric meter manufacturing factory located in Sector-4 here. Within no time the fire took a huge form, due to which the entire building was surrounded by black smoke and flames. The scariest thing was that at that time night shift work was going on in the factory and about 250 employees were stuck inside.
There was chaos at midnight, 30 vehicles took charge As soon as information about the accident was received, the fire department and local police team reached the spot. The fire was so huge that 30 fire engines were deployed to control it. The fire brigade took the help of stairs and hydraulic lifts to rescue the workers trapped in the factory. More than 30 employees have been badly burnt due to suffocation due to smoke and coming under fire, who have been immediately admitted to the district hospital of Noida.
Short circuit becomes time! According to initial investigation and eyewitnesses, the fire broke out on the third floor of the factory. It is feared that this accident happened due to short circuit. The police and administration team is now investigating whether the factory had a fire NOC and whether there were adequate security arrangements there or not.
Chaos among family members As soon as the news of the accident spread, a huge crowd of family members of the employees gathered outside the factory. Tears could be clearly seen in the eyes and fear on the faces of people praying to save the lives of their loved ones. Police have cordoned off the entire area to control the situation. Fortunately, the rescue operation was started in time, due to which a major loss of life was averted.
