The fire that broke out in the fair area is so severe that it is visible from a distance. Due to this there is an atmosphere of chaos in the fair. Top officials of police and administration have reached the spot. Many fire tenders are also engaged in extinguishing the fire. At present there is no information about anyone being injured.

So far, there is news of 20 to 25 tents being burnt due to the massive fire in Mahakumbh Tent City. The fire broke out near the Swastika Gate and under the railway bridge where there are Akharas. Meanwhile, the fire department has sealed the area of ​​Sector 19. Cylinders are still bursting. Many fire department vehicles are trying to control the fire. There is difficulty in controlling the fire due to strong wind. Due to strong wind, another tent is catching fire. It is being told that the fire broke out while cooking in the tent. After this the fire engulfed many more tents. The fire is becoming more severe due to the explosion of a cylinder kept in the kitchen.

CM Yogi took cognizance, fire was controlled

Due to the fire, there was a cloud of smoke all around the Mahakumbh. The fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a lot of effort. However, smoke is coming out from where the fire broke out. Many tents have been completely burnt to ashes. Taking cognizance of the fire in Mahakumbh area, CM Yogi has given directions to the officials. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, senior officials are present on the spot. At the same time, the Chief Minister has issued instructions for proper treatment to the people burnt in the fire.

Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar Mander said that information about fire was received at Geeta Press in Kumbh area Sector 19 at 4:30. Fire brigade and police teams reached the spot. Along with Geeta Press, fire was also reported in 10 Prayagwal tents, which has been extinguished. The situation is normal, no casualty has been reported.
