A massive fire in Silapathar, property worth nearly Rs 3 crores was burnt to ashes. There was a rush among the people.

Black smoke covered the sky of the area due to a fire that broke out from a warehouse on Likabali Road in Silapathar this morning. Within no time, the tire shop and fruit warehouse were engulfed in flames. There was a stampede among the people.

With the hard work of the fire brigade of Silapathar and Likabali, the fire was controlled from spreading but by then property worth more than three crore rupees was reduced to ashes.

Only a few half-burnt tins were left. Today, a day after the fire incident in Machkuwa of the district, amidst the joy and happiness of Silapathar Rasht Utsav, the incident of fire has created a stir among the people.
