A meeting of ASHA workers was organized regarding family planning and protection from heat wave.
Triveniganj, Supaul. An important meeting was organized with Asha workers on Thursday at Sub-Divisional Hospital Triveniganj. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Suman Kumari, Medical Officer in-charge of the Primary Health Center. In the meeting, NPASC and Antara Scheme under the family planning program were specifically discussed. On this occasion, Block Health Manager S. Adib Ahmed said that Asha workers were also given detailed information on measures to prevent rising heat and heat wave. He said that necessary guidelines were given regarding how to keep people safe from the sun and hot winds and how to protect themselves.
A total of 55 ASHA workers along with three facilitators participated in the meeting. While discussing the health of pregnant women in a special way, it was told that pregnant women whose hemoglobin level is less than 9 grams and are suffering from anemia should be referred to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Triveniganj. Necessary treatment and injections will be provided to them in the hospital, which will help in removing anemia and ensure safe and easy delivery. Family planning advisor Ishtiaq Ahmed and other health department personnel and ASHA workers were present in the meeting.
