According to reports, Meta had initially blocked links to sites linked to Pixelfed on Facebook. However, according to Engadget, this blocking was done by mistake and now the link has been reactivated.
Pixelfed founder Daniel Supernault had earlier launched TikTok's alternative “Loops” in October. Now Pixelfed is being said to be a strong alternative to Instagram.
