A person coming from Bahrain was arrested as soon as he landed at IGI Airport, the officers were shocked to see the lining of the trolley bag.

An Indian citizen has been caught with silver wire by customer officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The accused had silver wire which he had decided to bring from abroad illegally. The accused had come from Bahrain with Flight GF-134 and was caught at the airport itself by AIU (Air Intelligence Unit), Customs Department. He arrived from Bahrain on January 12. 1,528 grams of gold worth ₹11,115,283 has been recovered from him.

A female passenger was also arrested

Let us tell you that a female passenger has also been arrested in this case. Said age is 34 years. 420 grams of gold has been recovered from it. Its price is ₹3,055,248. 4 silver-coloured metal wires have been recovered from the bag of the accused woman.

A case has been registered against both the accused under Customs Act, 1962. Investigation is being done in both the cases. This is not the first case when the accused have tried to smuggle gold, such an incident has happened earlier also.
