Political storm rises in Bangladesh, Special Assistant to Mohammad Yunus Khuda Baksh Choudhary resigns

New Delhi. After the deteriorating law and order situation in Bangladesh, Khuda Baksh Chowdhury, Special Assistant to Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus of the interim government, has resigned from his post. According to the Daily Star report, officials associated with the case said that the government’s concerns had increased regarding the way law and order would be handled ahead of the national elections to be held on February 12.

Quoting sources, it has been told that after the rebellion in July, Khuda Baksh was appointed Special Assistant on November 10, 2024. He was expected to play an important role in restoring discipline and boosting morale within the law enforcement agencies, especially the police.

Four accused of murder of Dipu Chandra Das confessed to the crime

Bangladesh Police has issued a big statement in the case of the brutal murder of Dipu Chandra Das. According to the police, four accused have confessed to their crime in the court in the case registered regarding the death of Dipu Chandra Das. Accused Tariq Hussain, Manik Mia, Nizamul Haq and Ajmal Chhagil recorded their statements before the Senior Judicial Magistrate.
