The film won three National Awards
On 5 October 2018, Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Tabu’s movie ‘Andhadhun’ was released. This black comedy, crime thriller film was written and directed by Sriram himself. While the film grossed over ₹442 crore worldwide, it managed to earn only ₹74 crore domestically. The budget of this film was ₹32 crore. Interestingly, the film won three National Awards. Andhadhun won the National Award for Best Hindi Film and Best Adapted Screenplay, while Ayushmann Khurrana won the National Award for Best Actor.

‘Maestro’ made in Telugu
The Telugu version of ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Maestro’ starred Nitin and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. This movie released in 2021. It received mixed response from the audience and was not a huge success.
‘Bhramam’ in Malayalam
The Malayalam adaptation of ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Bhramam’, was made in 2021. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran played the lead role in ‘Bhramam’. Released in 2021, the film did not hit theaters directly. The film received a positive response from the audience on the OTT platform. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s performance in ‘Bhramam’ was appreciated. It was also believed that if the film was remade in Tamil, it would be a success at the box office.
Andhagan in Tamil
The film was made with the name ‘Andhagan’. The film starred actor Prashant in the lead role, along with actresses Simran and Priya Anand. However, the film was a flop at the box office.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s film is still considered a cult classic dark comedy. The performance of the actors was appreciated. Shah Rukh Khan himself called Radhika Apte and praised her performance.
