Brutal murder of a teacher by stabbing her with a knife in Thanjavur government school, accused arrested

Thanjavur: A heartbreaking news of the murder of a teacher has come to light in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. There was a stir in the premises of the government school located at Mallipattinam in the district when suddenly a young man came into the school and killed the teacher with a knife. After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot. The incident took place at Mallipatnam Government Higher Secondary School in the district.

Regarding this shocking incident, the local police said that the accused youth has been taken into custody after the incident. Police said that the accused youth entered the staff room of the school and attacked the teacher with a knife several times in front of her staff members without any fear. There was a stir in the school after this incident. Colleagues also took the injured teacher, covered in blood, to a nearby government hospital but she could not be saved. Doctors declared him dead.

Questions raised on teachers' safety after the incident

There is huge anger among the local people due to this incident. Tamil Nadu's School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has also strongly condemned this horrific attack on Mallipatnam school teacher Ramani. “Violence against teachers cannot be tolerated,” the minister said in a post on X. Strict legal action will be taken against the attacker. We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved family of teacher Ramani, students and fellow teachers.”

Family and colleagues are in deep shock

Investigation into this incident has been started. The police have claimed that there were personal reasons behind the deadly attack. The body of the teacher has been sent for post-mortem and the accused is being interrogated. After this incident, the family members of the deceased including her school colleagues are in deep shock.
