A viral video had created a stir in the Dehat police station area of Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. In this video, some policemen were claiming to be taking money from gamblers. In the video, policemen were shown accepting the offer of Rs. As soon as the video went viral, district SP Shrutkirti Somvanshi started investigating the matter and described the video as misleading and incomplete.

The events depicted in the video are not complete and some parts of it have been misrepresented. According to the SP, the police team was sent to catch gambling and while the action was being taken there, some people were trying to suppress the matter from the policemen.

Somvanshi also told that the team had seized Rs 4,800 and a mobile phone from there. Some minors were also caught gambling. After investigation, SP found SI Satish Rathore completely innocent in this case and gave him clean chit.
Do not hold guilty without any clarity
A special team has been formed in the district against gambling people, which is continuously taking action against gambling scams. So far this team has arrested 273 gamblers. The SP said that no wrongdoing on the part of any policeman has been found in the viral video and the allegations made in this case are false. This entire case also made it clear that no one can be held guilty on the basis of a video spread on social media without verification
