Woman burnt alive inside train, public watched, accused arrested after VIDEO went viral
New Delhi: A heart-wrenching video has emerged from New York, America, where a man in Brooklyn burnt a woman alive in a train and stood there watching. During this time no one present there tried to save him. According to BBC report, Police Commissioner Jessica Tish said that this incident happened around 7:30 am on Sunday morning. The woman was suddenly attacked by the accused inside the F train parked at the Coney Island-Stillwell station in Brooklyn. He set fire to the woman's clothes with a lighter.

Police said the woman was “completely stable” at the time. However, it is not clear whether she was sleeping or not. The woman died on the spot due to the flames. The police have arrested the accused in this case.

Know how the accused was caught?
After the incident, the accused got down from the train and sat on a bench at the station itself. When the police reached the spot and saw the burning woman in the train, they started patrolling the surrounding area. The picture of the accused was made public on the basis of CCTV footage and videos obtained from body cameras of the officers present at the spot. The same day in the afternoon, three high school students recognized the accused on another train. He called 911 and informed the police. After this, the police arrested the accused from Herald Square station in Manhattan.
The motive behind the murder?
According to the police, a lighter has been recovered from the accused. Joseph Gulotta of NYPD said that the accused came to America from Guatemala in 2018. At present, the motive behind the murder is being investigated. Commissioner Jessica Tisch praised the high school students, saying they not only saw something, but felt responsible and informed the police. His awareness played an important role in catching the accused.
