A young man refused to give him a box of matches; four youths stabbed him to death, all arrested.

New Delhi. Three persons have been arrested and a minor detained for allegedly stabbing a 39-year-old man to death following a dispute over a matchbox near Jaffrabad metro station in north-east Delhi. Officials said that the body of Akil Ahmed, a resident of JJ Colony in Welcome area, was found on March 23.

Apart from arresting Imran (19), Faizan (23) and Sahil (20), police have detained a 17-year-old boy, all residents of Janta Mazdoor Colony in Welcome area. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they attacked Ahmed when he refused to share the matchbox with them, a police officer said. After the incident they fled from the spot. He said that on the information of the accused, the police have recovered the knife used in the crime. Police said that investigation into the case is ongoing.
