If you still have the old Aadhaar App in your mobile, then now is the time to change it. The Unique Identification Authority of India has stopped the service of the old M-Aadhaar app from June 30. After this, now all users will have to use the new Aadhaar app.

For the last several weeks, users were being continuously informed that the old app was being retired. Now in its place a new Aadhaar app is available, in which more security, better privacy and many new features have been added than before.

Old app Aadhaar App will not work from today

The Unique Identification Authority of India has completely discontinued the old m Aadhaar app with effect from June 30, 2026. Now this app will not work for any service.

New Aadhaar App Android Users Google Play Store and iPhone Users can download from App Store. While downloading the app, make sure that its developer and publisher is UIDAI, because many fake apps are also available in the name of Aadhaar.

Advanced security features will be available in the new app

More secure technology has been used in the new Aadhaar app than before. It has been provided with facilities like SIM binding and face recognition. If the registered SIM is not available in your mobile, the app will automatically logout. With this, unauthorized persons will not be able to easily access your Aadhaar information.

QR verification will increase privacy

The facility of QR code based verification is also provided in the new app. Through this, identity can be verified without sharing Aadhaar number, address and other personal information. Users will also be able to share masked Aadhaar if needed, so that the Aadhaar number will not be completely visible and the possibility of misuse will be reduced.
