Aadhaar Card Update: Now update your email ID for free sitting at home, no need to go to Aadhaar center, know the complete process
Business Desk: If your Aadhaar Card does not have an email ID link or you want to change the old email, then now there will be no need to go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has started such a facility in the new Aadhaar App.
Now users can link and update email ID for free from home till 31st December. This service started from July 1 and in the first two days itself, more than 2.5 lakh people updated their email ID through the app.

According to the notification of UIDAI, the new Aadhaar App will provide free facility to update email ID for the next six months i.e. till 31st December. With this, users will be able to update their email ID from their mobile without any documents and without going to the Aadhaar center.

According to UIDAI, the new Aadhaar App is very easy to use. If you don’t have the app on your phone, download it on Android or Apple iOS first.
After setting up the app, the email ID in Aadhaar can be linked or updated from the option given. The entire process is completed within a few minutes and does not require any documents or physical verification.

After linking the email ID with Aadhaar, whenever your Aadhaar Card is used for any Authentication Request, its information will be immediately received on email. This will keep you aware of where and for what purpose your Aadhaar is being used. This will also reduce the possibility of misuse of Aadhaar and online fraud.
