Aakash Chopra chose his team for T20 World Cup 2026

Aakash Chopra has selected his probable team for the T20 World Cup. He has included Abhishek Sharma and Shubhman Gill in the team as opening batsmen. Chopra believes that Gill will open and will also be the vice-captain.

Chopra has kept Sanju Samson as backup wicketkeeper and opener. He believes that like the 2024 T20 World Cup, this time too Sanju may not get a chance to play.

Rinku Singh and Mohammed Siraj may remain out

Chopra said on his YouTube channel that Rinku Singh was not selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup and there is a possibility of him being left out this time too. Apart from this, the team management has also not kept Mohammed Siraj. Washington Sundar can be given preference in place of Rinku. Yashasvi Jaiswal will also not be included in this team.

According to the former opener, Harshit Rana will be included in the team in place of Siraj. The names of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep are also there in fast bowling. At the same time, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakraborty will also be successful in making their place.
