Aakash Chopra names five fast bowlers who will go for big bucks in IPL 2025 auction, ignores Mohammed Siraj
Aakash Chopra gave his opinion on the likely most expensive pacer in the IPL 2025 mega auction. He ignored the likes of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj and went with left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh, who was not retained by Punjab Kings.
He named five fast bowlers who were going to go for a huge amount in the bidding process, and there was no place for Siraj. He was not retained by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the 18th season.
Chopra said that Kagiso Rabada and Mitchell Starc could take the fifth slot on the list.
“I will keep Starc and Rabada at the no. 5 position. I don’t think the Australian speedster could be among the top three,” Aakash Chopra said.
“My number four pick is Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He performs consistently, and every franchise needs a bowler like.”
The former opener then talked about Mohammed Shami, who recently returned to action after a year. He feels Gujarat Titans could use RTM for Shami in the auction.
“At No. 2 is Harshal Patel. He will again go for a lot of money because he is a genuine wicket-taker. He can bowl in the death overs.”
“Arshdeep Singh will be the most expensive bowler and might go for INR 18 crore. He might end up playing for Punjab Kings as they have a lot of money in their purse.”
