Aam Aadmi Party’s “Do Employment – Do Social Justice” padyatra, which started from Mirzapur on January 16, had a historic conclusion in Varanasi on the seventh and final day. In the last seven days, this Padyatra received widespread support from youth, laborers, farmers, weavers, Dalits, backward classes, women and unemployed. The padyatra concluded on Thursday with darshan at Sarnath, after which a huge public meeting was organized at Lal Bahadur Shastri Ghat, Sikraul. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh announced that the “Do Employment – Do Social Justice” movement will not stop here and possibly the fourth phase of Padyatra will be started at the end of February, in which even greater participation of the public will be ensured.

welcomed the march

On the seventh and last day, the Padyatra under the leadership of Sanjay Singh started from Gokul Nikunj Banquet, Havelia Square, Sarnath, Varanasi at 12 noon and reached Sarnath Temple after walking about one and a half kilometers. People welcomed the Padyatra along the entire route with flower showers, slogans and spontaneous participation. The youth were holding posters demanding employment and the presence of elders, women and children made it clear that this struggle is not just for one day, but a fight for the future.

After visiting Sarnath Temple, Sanjay Singh Lal Bahadur reached Shastri Ghat, Sikraul, Nadesar, Varanasi, where he addressed a huge public meeting and said that in today’s politics, real issues like education, health, electricity, water, roads, fertilizers and employment are being deliberately pushed to the margins. He said that politics of hatred is being carried out in the country so that the public cannot ask its questions.

Give unemployment allowance of Rs 10,000

Sanjay Singh said that if investment of Rs 45 lakh crore has come to Uttar Pradesh, then at least 45 lakh youth should have got jobs. He bluntly said that the demand of Aam Aadmi Party is clear – give jobs, or give unemployment allowance of Rs 10,000 every month to every youth above 18 years of age. Speaking on social justice, he said that social justice is the correct observance of the Constitution, but today injustice is being done continuously to the Dalits, backward people and the deprived.

strengthen this fight

In the end, Sanjay Singh said that the land of Sarnath has given the message of peace and non-violence to the world and India will become a world leader only when it follows this path. He appealed to the public to further strengthen this fight for employment and social justice by participating in the upcoming fourth phase of Padyatra in large numbers. He assured that the issues of the people of Varanasi and Uttar Pradesh will be raised with full strength on every forum of Parliament.
