Aam Aadmi Party got a big blow, Raghav Chadha resigned before Punjab elections, expressed confidence in PM Modi’s leadership.
Shiv Shankar Savita- A major development came to light in the country’s politics on Friday, when senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha announced his resignation from the party. Along with this, he has intensified the political stir by announcing his joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the press conference held in Chandigarh, Raghav Chadha, while sharing the stage with Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Kumar Mittal, said that he has taken a big decision. He said, “We have decided that two-thirds of the Aam Aadmi Party members in the Rajya Sabha will merge with the BJP using the provisions of the Constitution.
You got a big shock due to Raghav’s departure.
This announcement of Raghav Chadha is being considered a big blow for AAP, especially at a time when the party is already facing many political challenges. Along with him, Ashok Mittal and Sandeep Pathak also joining BJP makes this development more important. According to sources, there was a situation of disagreement within the party for some time. It is being told that the distance between Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chadha started increasing from the time when Kejriwal was in jail and during that time Raghav Chadha was abroad. During this period, political discussions regarding his personal photographs also intensified. Apart from this, even during the Lok Sabha elections, questions were raised regarding the limited role of Raghav Chadha. He was kept away from Punjab politics to some extent, which started indicating that all was not well within the party.
Recently he was removed from the post of Deputy Leader
Political analysts believe that Raghav Chadha had been relatively quiet on important party issues for some time, which was preparing the background for this big decision. At the same time, opposition parties are calling this development a result of AAP’s internal differences and leadership crisis. He says that this is a clear sign of dissatisfaction within the party. However, no detailed official response has yet come from the Aam Aadmi Party on this entire matter. Some party leaders have called it a part of the organizational process, but this step of Raghav Chadha is definitely being considered a big blow to the party.
