ED arrested Aam Aadmi Party leader Deepak Singla, Kejriwal said – action taken because he did not join BJP
New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party leader Deepak Singla has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). ED has taken this action after hours of raids at several places in Delhi and Goa on Monday. ED has taken this action in a money laundering case related to alleged bank loan fraud. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions regarding this action. He said that Deepak Singla had refused to join BJP, due to which he has been arrested.

Deepak Singla is a former assembly candidate of Aam Aadmi Party and a senior leader of the party. He tried his luck in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections from Vishwas Nagar seat. Deepak Singla has held many important responsibilities in the Aam Aadmi Party, including the posts of AAP in-charge of Goa and co-in-charge of MCD. Even in 2024, ED had raided his house as part of the investigation.
ED arrested two big leaders of AAP
It is being told that the ED team interrogated Singla for hours. During this time, he could not give satisfactory answers to many questions and kept avoiding many questions. After this ED arrested him. Earlier on May 9, ED had arrested Punjab government minister Sanjeev Arora in a separate case. Due to the arrest of two big leaders of AAP within 9 days, the party is aggressive on the central government and is calling it an election gimmick.
Arrested because he did not join BJP
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has targeted the arrest of Deepak Singla. He said that Deepak Singla was not arrested because he had done any wrong thing. Rather he has been arrested because he was working against BJP and he refused to join BJP. Deepak is brave and fighting for the country.
