AAP will not contest Maharashtra Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal will campaign for MVA

New Delhi Regarding the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party has made it clear that it will not take part in the elections to be held in the state. Party leader Sanjay Singh on Saturday said that his party will not contest the elections but its leader Arvind Kejriwal will campaign for the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA). Let us tell you that the MVA includes Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP) and Congress.

Regarding this, AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Singh said in a post on 'X', “Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will campaign for MVA candidates in Maharashtra elections. Aam Aadmi Party will not contest elections in Maharashtra.” According to AAP party sources, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP) have approached AAP regarding Kejriwal's election campaign in Maharashtra.

Can also campaign for Hemant Soren's party

According to the information received, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal can also campaign for Hemant Soren's party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in the Jharkhand Assembly elections. It is noteworthy that voting for the assembly elections for 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra is to be held on November 20. This voting will be held in a single phase after which the counting of votes will be done on November 23. Whereas in Jharkhand state, voting is to be held in two phases on 13th and 20th November. Here too the counting of votes will take place on November 23.

Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party and Mahavikas Aghadi i.e. MVA are part of 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance' (India). The 'India' alliance was formed to take on the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
